Ive long been touting that obesity is not a disease in its own right, but rather an outward expression of a system in turmoil.

The medical establishment seem to continually label obesity as a risk factor for many other pathological states, and aim for weight loss as a primary goal in it’s intervention, without considering the real reasons behind obesity itself.

Indeed Obesity DOES carry an association with many disease states, however we need to consider that obesity is only a SIGN of metabolic disease, and the metabolic derangement underlying it should be considered the real risk factor.
