I’ve been trawling through the videos from last years Ancestral Health Symposium slowly but surely, and I was pretty stoked to find this talk by Grayson Wheatley.
I like this talk because I’ve often been angered by the way the current medical paradigm rests so much on “clinical guidelines,” which are often based on outdated information and flawed science.
Ive often thought of what GPs may think of my suggestions to eat a high fat, low carbohydrate paleo diet to achieve heart health, because clinical guidelines in Australia for medical practitioners still subscribe to the Lipid hypothesis of heart disease even though it has been shown repeatedly that cholesterol is NOT the cause of heart disease.
So in short this video is interesting to me in that we have a cardiac surgeon talking about the obligation to follow “standard guidelines” even though he understands on a much deeper level the complex interactions of the human body, and they way they manifest as disease states.
